Wider by Design. Comfortable by Nature.

Most road cycling shoes are built around a single narrow foot shape designed for professional riders. If you have ever sized up just to get toe room and ended up with heel slip and a shifted cleat position — you already know the tradeoff. The Averlean Road Cycling Shoe is built on a 2E wide last from the mold up. Your toes get room to splay naturally under load. Your heel stays snug because the shoe is the correct length for your size.

Meet Averlean

Every Watt Goes to the Pedal. None Goes to Waste.

A soft sole absorbs the power you put in and returns nothing back. The Averlean sole is engineered to be stiff. Race-level stiff. Out of the saddle, full effort, maximum cadence stiff. You push. The bike moves. No energy lost in between.

Two Zones of Control. Zero Guesswork.

1

Step 1 — Dial In Your Midfoot

Turn the precision dial to lock your heel and midfoot with even tension across the whole foot. No pressure points.

2

Step 2 — Secure Your Forefoot

Fasten the reinforced strap across your forefoot independently. This is the zone that controls toe numbness.

3

Step 3 — Clip In and Ride

The 3-bolt cleat pattern clips directly into Shimano SPD-SL, Look, and Peloton pedals. No adapters. No adjustments. Just ride.

More than a shoe, it's confidence on every ride.

Averlean road cycling shoes are built for real cyclists who ride seriously and demand comfort without sacrificing performance.

  • Wide 2E Toe Box — No Numb Toes
  • Stiff Sole — Full Power Transfer
  • Dual-Zone Dial and Strap Closure
  • Works With Shimano, Look, and Peloton

Frequently Asked Questions

Do the shoes run true to size? +

Yes. Averlean Road Cycling Shoes fit true to size. Use your standard EU shoe size. If you are between sizes, size up by half. A full size chart showing EU to US conversions is available on the product page.

Are these good for wide feet? +

Yes — this is one of the core reasons Averlean exists. The shoe is built on a 2E wide last meaning the forefoot is wider from the mold itself. If you have wide feet and have always had to size up in cycling shoes, these were made specifically for you.

Where is my order? +

Averlean Cycling Shoe Questions

Are these comfortable for longer rides? +

Yes. The 2E wide toe box gives your foot room to splay naturally as it swells over hours of riding — the primary cause of numb toes and hot spots on long rides. Riders regularly report comfort at 50, 80, and 100-plus miles per week with zero numbness.

What pedal types are compatible? +

Averlean Road Cycling Shoes use a standard 3-bolt cleat pattern compatible with Shimano SPD-SL, Look Keo, and most road pedal systems including Peloton. Simply transfer your existing cleats — no adapters required.

Are these good for Peloton and indoor cycling? +

Absolutely. The 3-bolt cleat pattern works with standard Peloton bike pedals right out of the box. Many of our customers use these exclusively for Peloton and indoor training.

What is your return and warranty policy? +

Every pair of Averlean shoes comes with a 30-day ride guarantee. If you are not completely satisfied within 30 days contact us and we will make it right with a replacement or full refund — no questions asked.

How do I care for the shoes? +

After each ride wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth. Allow them to air dry away from direct heat or sunlight. Do not machine wash. With proper care these shoes will hold up across thousands of miles of riding.
